I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

MADISON'S CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) BOARD

 

Note: Per the Business Improvement District [BID] Operating Plan as approved by the Common Council, “Wisconsin Statutes section 66.1109(3 (a) requires that the Board be composed of at least five members and that a majority of the Board members shall either own or occupy real property in the District.  If the actual property or business owner is an entity, that entity shall designate a representative to act on its behalf.”

 

AMY J. MOORE (6th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of State Street Area-Property/Business Owner. First appointed 2-27-2018.

TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2023

 

*SUSAN A. SPRINGMAN, Waunakee - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Capitol Square Area - Property Owner. First appointed 1-4-2011.

TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2023

 

Rationale:  The Mullins Group, which has ownership interest in fifteen properties in the District, has designated Susan Springman as its representative to the BID Board.

 

*JONATHAN ZAROV, Monona - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Tax Exempt Entity Representative. First appointed 3-29-2016.

TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2023

 

Rationale: Mr. Zarov is the marketing and communications director for the Madison Children's Museum. Having worked for Overture Center, UW-Madison and several other area arts organizations, Mr. Zarov’s experience as an Arts Administrator and programming specialist will serve the BID exceptionally well.

 

 

MONONA TERRACE COMMUNITY AND CONVENTION CENTER BOARD

 

AURELIANO MONTES (20th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year and to a full three-year term to the position of City Appointee. Mr. Montes is the general manager of restaurants Canteen and Tex Tubb’s Taco Palace. He succeeds Ricardo Gonzalez.

CURRENT TERM EXPIRES: 5-1-2020

NEXT FULL TERM EXPIRES: 5-1-2023

 

 

POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION

 

MARY A. SCHAUF (10th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Schauf is a former police captain for the Madison Police Department. She retired in 2019, after serving 29 years. She has extensive knowledge of Madison rules & Wisconsin laws as they pertain to the Police and Fire Commission. Ms. Schauf succeeds Trent P. Jackson.

TERM EXPIRES: 5-1-2023

 

NIA TRAMMELL (18th A.D.) - reappoint to a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 7-21-2015.
