I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

BOARD OF REVIEW

 

MICHAEL C. KINDSCHI (3rd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Second Alternate. Mr. Kindschi is retired having worked for 36 years with MG&E and 19 years as a realtor. He spent 15 years on the Town of Cottage Grove Board and Board of Review. Mr. Kindschi succeeds James V. Samsal.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-15-2025

DISABILITY RIGHTS COMMISSION

 

JOSEPH A. FROST (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Frost is an application developer with Dane County. As a student at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Mr. Frost founded a disability advocacy student group and served as its president. He also served as the disability services representative to the University Centers Advisory Policy Board. Mr. Frost succeeds Annika M. Konrad.

MADISON FOOD POLICY COUNCIL

 

OLAJUMOKE FALOMO (16th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Member. Ms. Falomo is a graduate student/research assistant in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She succeeds Allison E. Martinson.

TERM EXPIRES: 10-1-2020

 

JAMIE R. BUGEL (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Urban Farm Advocate/Representative. Ms. Bugel is natural resources educator and research technician with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In addition, she is the SNAP/EBT/Double Dollars Coordinator for the Madison Eastside Farmers’ Market. Ms. Bugel succeeds Martin H. Bailkey.

TERM EXPIRES: 10-01-2021

 

ALMA T. HORLOCK (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a one-year term to the position of Youth Member. Ms. Horlock is a food security specialist with the Community Action Coalition of South Central Wisconsin. She succeeds Rosaleen E. Joyce.

TERM EXPIRES: 7-31-2020

 

 

SISTER CITY COLLABORATION COMMITTEE

 

Per MGO 33.33(3) - “Because resident participation of the Sister City Collaboration Committee goes beyond the boundaries of the City, up to twenty-five percent (25%) of appointees to the committee may be non-residents of Madison without the need for a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Council for confirmation.”

 

FRANK ALFANO (16th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Sister City Representative. Mr. Alfano represents Mantova, Italy. First appointed 2-1-2011.

TERM EXPIRES: 2-1-2023

 

JOSEPHINE OYAMA-MILLER, Monona, 53716 - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Obihiro Sister City Representative.  Ms. Oyama-Miller represents Obihiro, Japan. First appointed 2-1-2011.

TERM EXPIRES: 2-1-2023

 

CAROLYN GANTNER (18th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Sister City Representative. Ms. Gantner represents Arcatao, El Salvador. First appointed 2-1-2011.
