I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

BOARD OF HEALTH FOR MADISON AND DANE COUNTY

 

DEBBIE L. JONES (14th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of City Resident. Ms. Jones is a physician with SSM Health - St. Mary’s Hospital. She is a board member of Black Women Wellness. Ms. Jones succeeds Patricia A. Lasky.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-19-2022

 

 

BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS

 

ALAN J. MARTIN (9th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Martin is retired from the City of Madison after 34-plus years of service. During his time with the City, Mr. Martin worked for several agencies, including the Water Utility, Assessor’s Office and the Planning Division. He served as lead staff to the Urban Design Commission for many years. Mr. Martin recently served on the Downtown Coordinating Committee. He succeeds Nancy T. Ragland.

BOARD OF REVIEW

 

ANGELA B. BARTELL (9th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Bartell is a retired circuit court judge and current mediator and arbitrator. She is active with several organizations and has served as president of the Rotary Club of Madison and chair of the United Way of Dane County Board. Ms. Bartell succeeds James V. Samsal.

DOWNTOWN COORDINATING COMMITTEE

 

DAVY MAYER (6th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. First appointed 10-2-2018.

SANDRA TORKILDSON (2nd A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. First appointed 11-19-2013.

TERM EXPIRES: 10-19-2022

 

 

MADISON FOOD POLICY COUNCIL

MAERAJ H. SHEIKH (18th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Community Gardens Advocate. Ms. Sheikh currently holds a Resident Member position and has served since 2-5-2019. Ms. Sheikh succeeds Nan Fey.

ALLISON M. DOPF (12th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Health Care Provider Representative. First appointed 2-26-2019.

DEVIKA J. SURI (6th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. First appointed 2-7-2017.

MADISON’S CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) BOARD

 

FRANCESCA HONG (3rd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term and to a full three-year term to the position of King Street Business Association Representative. Ms. Hong is a chef and co-owner of Morris Ramen - located at 106 King St. She is the founder and board president of Culinary Ladies Collective. Ms. Hong succeeds Ryan C. Huber.

CURRENT TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2020

NEXT FULL TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2023

 

 

PUBLIC SAFETY REVIEW COMMITTEE

 

ALLEN M. RICKEY (18th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. Mr. Rickey is a retired police officer having served with the Madison Police Department for 30-plus years. He also served as a cold case investigator with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Mr. Rickey succeeds Margaret Anderson.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2022
