Title
Commending and thanking Alderperson Avra Reddy for her dedicated service to her constituents in District 8 and the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Avra Reddy was elected on April 2, 2019 to represent the 8th Aldermanic District; and,
WHEREAS, during her tenure Alderperson Avra Reddy served on the Committee on the Environment, Joint Campus Area Committee, Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee and the Madison Food Policy Council; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Reddy worked on issues to keep affordable housing on campus and keep rents down by incentivizing housing cooperatives and prioritizing high-density housing developments, increasing lighting in dark areas of campus, extending late night bus service and supporting environmental sustainability and renewable energy; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Reddy through her tireless dedication to her aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served her District 8 constituents and the City of Madison,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Avra Reddy for her dedicated service to her constituents in District 8 and the City of Madison and wish her well in all her future endeavors.
