Recognizing and commending Susan Barica for her professional and personal dedication to the Street Use Staff Commission, on the occasion of her retirement.

WHEREAS, Susan (Sue) Barica is retiring from the State of Wisconsin on September 27, 2019, after 38 years of service to the State, and,
WHEREAS, Sue is (nearly) a founding member of the Street Use Staff Team/Commission, and certainly the longest serving commissioner in the Committee’s history; and,
WHEREAS, Sue has always been a knowledgeable, fair and reliable representative of the Capitol Police on the Street Use Staff Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the Street Use Staff Commission has come to rely on Sue’s steady presence and expertise in coordinating State and City events and activities on Capitol Square and other State properties and facilities; and,
WHEREAS, Sue’s vital presence as a representative of the State Capitol on the City’s Street Use Staff Commission provides an early and ongoing example of successful inter-governmental communication and cooperation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Street Use Staff Commission recognizes and thanks Susan Barica for her nearly forty years of dedication and service to the State of Wisconsin, the City of Madison and their residents, congratulates her on her well-deserved retirement from State service, and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
