Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution amends the adopted 2019 Stormwater Utility capital budget to accept and appropriate $650,000 of grant funding for stormwater quality improvement projects within the Stormwater Quality System Improvements capital program. The projects funded by these grant awards will remove sediment, phosphorous, and other contaminants from stormwater.
An ultra low dose alum pilot will be supported by $25,000 from Dane County grant award funding and $10,000 from Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District grant award funding.
The East Towne Pond reconstruction project will be supported by $615,000 of Dane County grant award funding.
These grant awards applications and acceptance were authorized by Legistar Files 53943 and 53866 in late 2018; this resolution is amending the 2019 Stormwater Utility Capital Budget to appropriate the funds in the Stormwater Quality System Improvements capital program.

Title
Amending the 2019 Storm Water Capital Budget to accept three grant awards, totaling $650,000 for water quality projects. (9th & 17th ADs)
Body
WHEREAS, The City has accepted a Dane County Urban Water Quality grant for up to $25,000 and a Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District Grant for up to $10,000 to assist with the Ultra Low Dose Alum Pilot program (Legistar File 53943); and
WHEREAS, The City has accepted a Dane County Urban Water Quality grant for up to $615,000 for the East Towne Pond Reconstruction project (Legistar File 53866); and
WHEREAS, The 2019 Stormwater Utility Capital Budget provides funding for construction of these projects; and
WHEREAS, City Engineering would like to proceed with these projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 2019 Stormwater Utility Capital Budget is hereby amended to accept $650,000 of grant award funding as described in the body of this resolution.
