Madison Parks Staff proposes entering into a fee modification agreement with CrossFit for the use of Goodman Pool on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 to facilitate the CrossFit Games in Madison, WI under the following terms and conditions:
1. Term. Agreement shall be for a term of one (1) year beginning upon signing and terminating on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
2. Location. Goodman Pool located at 325 W. Olin Avenue 53715. See Appendix A.
3. Use. CrossFit shall have use of the location to hold CrossFit Game trials and/or competitions on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pool will be closed to the general public. If inclement weather prevents use of the pool on August 1, CrossFit will use the Olin Boat Launch as allowed under their Agreement. There will be no rain date at the Goodman Pool.
4. Fee. CrossFit will pay Madison Parks $7,200 for use of the location. Parks will allocate $500 of this fee to reimburse Facilities for removal of the starting blocks and diving boards. Fifty percent of the payment is due prior to the event. The remaining balance is due within one month of the event.
6. Site Map. Two weeks before the event, CrossFit will provide Madison Parks with a site map for review and approval. The site map shall indicate how CrossFit plans to set up and operate at the location. The site map shall include the proposed placement of any equipment brought into the location (stages, bleachers, tents, etc).
7. Lifeguards. Madison Parks will provide lifeguards to monitor the pool and deck. The capacity of the Goodman Pool is 1,000 patrons.
