I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS

 

MOIRA HARRINGTON (19th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Harrington is a communications manager for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Aquatic Sciences Center. She served for three years on the Town of Middleton Parks Commission and served on the board of the Friends of Pope Conservancy. Ms. Harrington succeeds David L. Wallner.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2022

 

 

COMMITTEE ON SWEATFREE PURCHASES

 

THOMAS J. GUNDERSEN (2nd A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Student Representative on the UW-Madison Labor Licensing Policy Committee. First appointed 1-16-2018.

LOUISA C. SCHWARTZ (13th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of City of Madison Resident. First appointed 1-16-2018.

JOHN C. PERKINS (13th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Greenbush Neighborhood Resident Representative. Mr. Perkins served as the president of the Greenbush Neighborhood Association and served on the Joint Southeast Campus Area Committee for four-plus years.

DOUGLAS K. CARLSON (13th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Vilas Neighborhood Resident Representative.  Mr. Carlson is a long-time resident of the Vilas neighborhood and served on the Joint West Campus Area Committee for six years.

TERM EXPIRES: 5/1/2021

 

MARY CZYNSZAK-LYNE (5th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Regent Neighborhood Resident Representative. Ms. Czynszak-Lyne served on the Joint West Campus Area Committee as the Regent Neighborhood Association Representative for two years.

LARRY J. WARMAN (4th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Capitol or State-Langdon Neighborhood Resident Representative.  Mr. Warman is a resident of Capitol Neighborhood and served on the Joint Southeast Campus Area Committee for eight years.

OVERTURE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

 

TONY J. CASTAŇEDA (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of City Appointee. Mr. Castaňeda is a client services manager for Housing Initiatives and a musician with the Tony Castaňeda Latin Jazz Band. In addition, he is a long-time WORT community radio host. Mr. Castaňeda succeeds Patricia A. Guttenberg.

TERM EXPIRES: 9-1-2019

 

 

SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

PAMELA ALSUM (6th A.D.) - appoint to a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Alsum  is a recently retired physician. She is a lifelong gardener/farmer and was an early participant of the Dane County Farmers Market. Ms. Alsum succeeds Dan Melton.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-21-2020
