Amending RES-17-00482, FILE ID 47316 Establishing the Oscar Mayer Strategic Assessment Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Common Council on June 6, 2017 by File #47136, Enactment No. RES-17-00482 (the “Resolution”) authorized the establishment of the Oscar Mayer Strategic Assessment Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution directs that the Committee begin meeting within one month after the consultant is hired and the Committee take final action on the Oscar Mayer Strategic Assessment and forward it to the Common Council within six months of its first meeting; and
WHEREAS, under the above timeline the Committee would have at least six months from the date the consultant is hired to complete its report; and
WHEREAS, it is now apparent that the Committee will begin meeting in January 2018, but that the consultant will not be hired until March 2018, which has the effect of giving the Committee less than six months from the date the consultant is hired to complete its work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Committee will begin meeting no later than one month after the consultant is hired and the Committee will take final action on the Oscar Mayer Strategic Assessment and forward it to the Common Council within seven months of its first meeting or December 31, 2018, whichever is later.
