Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution will approve applications to operate a pedal cab and approve requests for Pedal-cab Vehicle permits for four applicants. The revenue the City will receive for these permits is $1,295.

Relating to Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC applications for Pedal Cab Operator Licenses and vehicle permits.
Body
WHEREAS Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC have each applied for a pedal-cab service operator license permit and each company has applied for 1 Vehicle permit, except Central States which has applied for six vehicle permits,
WHEREAS, Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC have each been granted a provisional pedal-cab service by the Traffic Engineer as the operator has met the criteria as provided under MGO 11.06(2)(c) including a valid public passenger driver permit, zone of operation, proof of proper liability insurance coverage and approved vehicle inspection;
WHEREAS, a pedal cab operator may apply and be granted a provisional pedal-cab service operator license, the application must receive final approval by the Transit and Parking Commission and Common Council;
WHEREAS, any changes in routes or zones used by Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC would be subject to review by Traffic Engineering;
WHEREAS, this vehicle would be subject to all state laws and Madison Ordinances pertaining to bicycles;
WHEREAS, the City's Risk Manager has reviewed the applicant's liability insurance coverage and found that it complies with City ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC application to operate a pedal cab and approves its request Pedal-cab Vehicle permits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Centrals States LLC, Ceres Crossroad Services LLC, Mercury Transport LLC, and Lunar Cycle Service LLC applications and services are subject to the provisions and conditions as stated above and the ordinances of the City of Madison.
