Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves the contract amendment for the Water Utility's CIPP Rehabilitation of Water Mains in 2017 by $700,565.  Funding for the change is available in the adopted 2017 capital budget within the Water Utility's "Water Mains-New" capital program (MUNIS 10856). Funding is provided by revenue bonds.

Title

Body

Whereas, the parties, the City of Madison (“City”) and Fer-Pal Construction USA, LLC (“Contractor”) entered into a contract for construction services for Public Works Contract 7965 - “CIPP Rehabilitation of Water Mains 2017” (“Contract”) on July 18, 2017,

 

Whereas, when the Contract was advertised for bid it required pricing and submittal of a “supplemental” bid on a secondary project area, in addition to the bid on a “base” area and scope that served as the original basis of award,

 

Whereas, the Contractor is the apparent low bidder for both the base bid and the supplemental bid related to the Contract, and the City has funding available to pursue the supplemental Contract scope,

 

Whereas, the City has requested the following changes to the Contract:

 

INSERT “ATTACHMENT A”, enclosed.

SECTION I: PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND shall be replaced with a newly executed total of $1,516,295.00.
