I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS

 

KENNETH C. JOHNSON (11th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of Mayor or Designee. Mr. Johnson currently holds the First Alternate position and has served since 3-29-2016. He succeeds Harold P. Dahl.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2018

 

                     Currently serving on:                     Long Range Transportation Planning Committee (Board of Public Works Representative)

 

VALESE R. ADAMS (18th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Adams is an administrative specialist with Madison College. She has recently begun volunteering as a poll worker. Ms. Adams succeeds Claudia Haack.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2019

 

RENEE A. FREDERICK (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of First Alternate. Ms. Frederick is a landscaper with Schönheit Gardens. She volunteers at Sandburg Elementary, working with to improve classroom recycling and to introduce gardening to students. Ms. Frederick succeeds Ken Johnson.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2019

 

 

MADISON PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD

 

MMSD  Recommendation:

LISA C. HEMPSTEAD (5th  A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of School Superintendent or Representative. Ms. Hempstead is a Library Media Technology Specialist and teacher at Thoreau Elementary. She succeeds James T. Igielski.

TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2020

 

JAIR ALVAREZ (5th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Alvarez is the founder and litigation attorney for Alvarez Law. He currently serves on the board of the Latino Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Alvarez succeeds Tracey Caradine.

TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2019
