Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plan documents for intersection improvements at East Washington Avenue and North Webster Street at an estimated cost of $86,000. Funding is sufficiently budgeted within the Pavement Management capital program in Engineering Major Streets capital budget. The program is planned annually for replacement of existing pavement on deteriorated streets. Funding is provided by GO borrowing.

PREAMBLE

 

This project consists of removal and replacement of curb and pavement of the East Washington median and curb bumpout recently constructed on North Webster Street to accommodate west bound buses turning right onto North Webster Street.  In addition, the East Washington median will be extended through the crosswalk for pedestrian refuge. 

 

1.  That the plans and specifications for East Washington Avenue and North Webster Intersection Improvements be and are hereby approved. 

 

2.  That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to secure a contractor to undertake the construction by advertising and receiving bids for the required public works contract or by change order or other means as may be permitted by law to expedite the work.
