Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves plans for a traffic calming island installation on Lien Road at an estimated cost of $16,000. The Neighborhood Traffic Management and Pedestrian Improvements capital program is established with $500,000 of budget authority in 2017 via Engineering Bicycle and Pedestriant’s adopted budget (MUNIS 10546). Funding is provided by GO borrowing.

PREAMBLE
This project consists of removal and replacement of the existing island on Lien Rd. at Thierer Rd.to accommodate new sidewalk and cross walk installation. Upon approval, this public works contract provides means to construct the approved devices.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. That the plans and specifications for Lien Road Traffic Calming Island be and are hereby approved.
2. That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for the required public works contract.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of the existing public fee title or easement rights-of-ways.
