Commending and thanking Alderperson Marsha Rummel for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as the last President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.

Body

WHEREAS, Alderperson Marsha Rummel was elected by her peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 19, 2016 for the 2016 - 2017 term; and,

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Rummel met weekly with Mayor Paul Soglin and Common Council President Mike Verveer to discuss issues effecting the city; and,

 

WHEREAS, during her term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson Rummel served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee and also served on the Ad Hoc Landmarks Ordinance Review Committee, Board of Estimates, City-County Homeless Issues Committee, Committee on Employee Relations, Landmarks Commission, Public Market Development Committee; and,

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Rummel has met the demands of her additional duties with diligent and dedicated service; and,

 

WHEREAS, Alderperson Rummel, in addition to the above duties, continued to ably represent her 6th District constituents,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Marsha Rummel for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as the last President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
