Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering Major-Streets has budgeted $8.6 million for the reconstruction of streets with substandard pavement rating and no existing curb and gutter via the Reconstruction Streets capital program (MUNIS 10204).  The minor project for South High Point Road turn lane at Velvet Lear Lane is established with sufficient budget authority for the proposed contract (MUNIS 10422). Funding is provided by GO Borrowing. The proposed resolution awards the contract at an estimated cost of $100,960.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
