Fiscal Note
The 2014 Adopted Capital Budget includes $1.2 million for Breese Stevens Improvements in the Parks Division; the current project balance is $89,845.99. The total estimated project cost of Phase 1 is $35,680.00. Should this resolution be approved, the remaining balance of the project would be $54,165.99. Funding for the final two years of the contract will be provided in future Capital Budgets.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a purchase of services (Architect) contract on behalf of the City with Isthmus Architecture, Inc. to provide limited professional architectural and engineering design services for the Breese Stevens Facility Master Plan and Concession Building Addition.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parks Division seeks to hire an architectural consultant to prepare a long-range facility plan and prepare construction drawings for a future concession stand addition to Breese Stevens Field; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division and Parks Division through a competitive process solicited proposals for RFP# 8545, received written proposals, allowing consultants to bid for the work; and
WHEREAS, an evaluation team consisting of the purchasing supervisor and relevant Parks Division and Planning Division staff conducted a detailed evaluation, scored and ranked each of the proposals using criteria including cost, skill, previous experience, past performance; and Isthmus Architecture, Inc. received the highest score; and
WHEREAS, Isthmus Architecture, Inc. proposed contract price of $170,800.00; and
WHEREAS, the City’s RFP advertised the contract as a 3 year contract; and
WHEREAS, under MGO 4.26(3) service contracts of more than three years in duration and more than $50,000 per year require approval of the Common Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign a purchase of services (Architect) contract on behalf of the City for consultant services with Isthmus Architecture, Inc., for the ...
