DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS:  This ordinance modifies the definition of coffee so locally roasted coffee may be sold as personally prepared food on the State Street Mall/Concourse.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

 

                     Subparagraph c. of Paragraph 7. entitled “Personally Prepared Food” of Subdivision (e) entitled “Definitions” of Subsection (6) entitled “Regulations and Procedures for Vending on the State Street Mall/Capitol Concourse” of Section 9.13 entitled “License for Selling on Public Streets” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:

 

“c.                     Coffee if prepared and brewed from beans that are locally roasted, and ground by the vendor meaning roasted at a facility located in Dane County, and tea brewed by the vendor from loose ingredients by the vendor.”
