Resolution authorizing the double-fill of the IT Technical Services Manager position due to the upcoming retirement of Richard Beadles.
Body
WHEREAS, the IT Technical Services Manager, Richard Beadles, is retiring from the City of Madison employment on or about January 6, 2017; and
WHEREAS, this position is critical to the operations of the Information Technology Department as it manages key technical support functions for the Department and the City; and
WHEREAS, Information Technology has requested authorization to double-fill the position (#821) held by Mr. Beadles in order to ensure an orderly transition; and
WHEREAS, Information Technology intends to recruit to fill the position on or about August 15, 2016 in order to allow the selected candidate time to work with Mr. Beadles and become oriented to the job; and
WHEREAS, the double-fill will exceed thirty (30) days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Information Technology is authorized to double-fill the position of IT Technical Services Manager from August 15, 2016 through January 6, 2017, or Mr. Beadles’ final date on the payroll, whichever is later.
