Fiscal Note

 

In the 2016 adopted capital budget Engineering Major Streets has major project for Pavement Management (MUNIS 10540) which has $5.96 million budget for the resurfacing of existing streets.  The minor project for 2016 Crack Seal and Chip Seal has $1.29 million budgeted for the associated work specified by the contract in the proposed resolution.  Funding is provided from GO borrowing.

 

The proposed resolution awards the specified contract for a total estimated cost of $400,280.  Engineering Major Streets will incur $330,380 of the cost while the Streets Division will incur $69,900.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
