Request from MOHock (Madison Outdoor Hockey) for the use of the Vilas Park hockey rink for league play Wednesday and Sunday evenings, December 15-21, 2015 and January 3-February 28, 2016 (as weather allows)


Madison Parks staff proposes the following conditions for the Board of Park Commissioners consideration:

1. Aldermanic notification - MOHock Alder Sara Eskrich, district13@cityofmadison.com , prior to the 1st games of the season.
2. Organizers will provide a certificate of insurance covering this league, and naming the City of Madison as "additional insured."
3. Organizers will contact Central Parks Supervisors Lisa Laschinger, llaschinger@cityofmadison.com, and agree to any and all site recommendations and operational standards they may establish.
4. Organizers will continue to monitor ice and park conditions with the Parks Supervisors throughout the season to ensure safe usage for participants and to protect park areas.
5. City of Madison Parks staff has authority to cancel games based on unsafe ice conditions.
6. Organizers will post a damage deposit in the amount of 50% of estimated reservation fees with the Parks Division prior to the season and acknowledge they are responsible for any and all actual renovation costs which may result from this event. If no damage is incurred, this deposit will be used to credit league fees.
7. Park Commission and Parks Superintendent approve games ending at 11 pm with all participants, vehicles and equipment out of the parks by 11:15 pm.
8. Organizers will pick up keys for shelter in the Park Office one week before the league starts, in exchange for a refundable $300.00 deposit. Organizer is responsible for ensuring shelters are locked each night prior to leaving the park.
