The proposed Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Blackhawk Water Tower will not exceed $220,000. Funds for this project are included in the 2015 Water Utility Capital Budget. Project 10445 Far West Elevated Reservoir.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for pre-design planning, public participation support, the preparation of final construction drawings and specifications, permitting, bidding, and construction administration for the Blackhawk Water Tower.
Body
WHEREAS, In 2006, Madison Water Utility had a Master Plan developed which identified an eventual need for the construction of two new water towers on the far west side (however this proposed project would meet those needs with a single tower);
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has budgeted for the professional services for pre-design planning, public participation support, the preparation of final construction drawings and specifications, permitting, bidding, and construction administration of this work in the 2015 Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has advertised for, received, and evaluated professional engineering consultant proposals for this work, and through that process has decided to recommend Baxter & Woodman, Inc. to the Water Utility Board;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $220,000 with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for pre-design planning, public participation support, the preparation of final construction drawings and specifications, permitting, bidding, and construction administration for the design and construction of the Blackhawk Water Tower.
