Fiscal Note
The 2015 estimated cost of support for the Trapeze software maintenance agreement is $415,000, with a possible additional cost if we go with an option for Trapeze OPS and GTFS. Funding is included in the 2015 Adopted Metro Transit Operating Budget. Subsequent annual costs will be included in future operating budgets. The cost for Trapeze OPS and GTFS options will be mutually agreed upon by the parties.

WHEREAS, Trapeze Software Group, Inc. (Trapeze) is the developer and provider of the Trapeze FX, Trapeze PASS, Trapeze INFO-Agent/WEB, Trapeze MAPMAKER, Trapeze PASS-MON, Trapeze FX-MON, Blockbuster, and TransitMaster with options for Trapeze OPS and GTFS; and
WHEREAS, these software programs are used by Metro Transit for paratransit scheduling, fixed route scheduling, the online trip planner and a variety of other Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) functions; and
WHEREAS, as Trapeze is the developer and provider of this software, it is necessary to engage in a sole source agreement with Trapeze to maintain and support their own software;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a contract with Trapeze Software Group, Inc. to provide software maintenance and support for 2015 - 2019 at an estimated cost of $415,000 for 2015. The cost for subsequent years will be in the Operating Budgets for those years and any optional software support costs will be mutually agreed upon by the parties.
