Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution creates the positions of Community Paramedic 1 (CG-16 R-15) and Community Paramedic 2 (CG-16 R-17) as part of the Community Paramedicine Program. The 2016 budget includes funding for the Community Paramedic 2 position. The Fire Department will determine whether to fill the Community Paramedic 2 position or to underfill the position with a Community Paramedic 1.

The fiscal impact assumes the position will be filled November 16, 2015. Assuming the position is filled as a Community Paramedic 2, the cost for the remainder of 2015 is approximately $7,111 (or $9,492 including benefits) and is available in the 2015 operating budget. The projected annualized cost is $55,826 (or $74,517 including benefits).
