I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen commitee appointments. Statement of Interest forms are on file where applicable.

 

 

ALCOHOL LICENSE REVIEW COMMITTEE

 

KATHRYN HILL (16th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Hill served as the director of financial systems for CUNA and is a member of the League of Women Voters. She succeeds David A. Hart.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-17-2018

 

 

COMMITTEE ON SWEATFREE PURCHASES

 

JONATHAN D. ROSENBLUM (5th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident.  First Appointed 3-31-2009.

TERM EXPIRES: 3-31-2018

 

 

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE

 

NAN BRIEN (16th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. Brien is the former associate director of the Wisconsin Council on Children & Families. She is the co-founder of GRUMPS (Grandparents United for Madison Public Schools) and previously served as a member of the MMSD Board of Education. Ms. Brien succeeds Karalyn A. Kratowicz.

LANDMARKS COMMISSION

 

LON HILL (14th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Licensed Realtor. Mr. Hill is a real estate agent with First Weber Group. He succeeds Jason T. Fowler.

MADISON PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD

 

PHILIP C. GRUPE (4th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Grupe is an energy efficiency analyst with CLEAResult. He has a background in environmental and sustainability issues and served as the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies representative to the Teaching Assistants Association. Mr. Grupe succeeds Sheri Carter.

TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2018

 

WILLIE R. GLENN, SR (20th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Glenn is the Youth Program Director for the Meadowood Community Neighborhood Center. He is a volunteer basketball coach for the Wisconsin Starz and a member of the Blazing Star Prince Hall Masonic Order. Mr. Glenn succeeds Rissel M. Sanderson.
