PREAMBLE
The City reconstructed State Street from Park Street to Lake Street (700 & 800 Blocks) in 2014. As part of the public information meeting process during the project design phase, a desire for public art in the space was acknowledged. The City included an art piece known as "the Leaf" in the design and approvals for the project (RES-14-00041).
Pursuant to City Ordinances and Policies, the City Engineer advertised for fabricator proposals, reviewed the submitted proposals, and recommends the contract be awarded to Grunau Metals, a Division of Grunau Company, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and agreement with Grunau Metals, a Division of Grunau Company, Inc. for fabrication and installation services for the Leaf Art project on the 700 & 800 Blocks of State Street.
