Request from Madison Unicyclists for the use of Tenney Park on Saturday, August 1, 2015 for the North American Unicycling Convention and Competition.

Please note:
· Parks and City Engineering are planning a maintenance project for the Tenney shoreline in 2015. Approval for this event is provisional and dependent on the specifics of that project, which is currently being developed.
· Conditions relating to this event are subject to change based on official changes in policy and/or procedures implemented and approved by the City of Madison.

Parks staff recommends approval, with the following conditions:

1. Aldermanic notification. (Alder. Ledell Zellers and the neighborhood association president have already been contacted.)
2. Sponsor will not set up activities in the tennis courts.
3. Sponsor will provide a detailed site map and will arrange a site plan meeting at least two weeks in advance with Craig Klinke, the East Parks Supervisor, (608-246-4508 or cklinke@cityofmadison.com) and agrees to all site recommendations he will make.
4. For the Criterium portion of the competition, sponsor will apply for a Street-Use Permit in order to close streets: http://www.cityofmadison.com/specialevents/streetevents/applicationprocess.cfm
5. Fees will be paid at least one month prior to the event.
6. Sponsor will post a $3,000 damage deposit with the Parks Division prior to the event and acknowledges that this organization will be responsible for any and all actual field renovation costs which may result from this event.
7. Sponsor will provide a certificate of insurance covering this event and naming the City of Madison as “additional insured.”
8. Sponsor understands that no driving or parking on the grass is allowed.
9. Sponsor will be responsible for full clean-up of the park areas used, immediately after the event.
10. Amplification will be allowed from 4pm to 8pm and sound will be kept to a reasonable level at all times.
