Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison, serving as the Collaborative Applicant for the Madison/Dane County Continuum of Care (CoC), submitted a planning project proposal to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in January 2013 as part of HUD’s competitive application process to award FY2012 CoC Homeless Assistance grant funds; and,

WHEREAS, the planning project activities described in the HUD application included engaging an outside party to provide an evaluation of current local HUD-funded programs serving homeless persons and to provide assistance in implementing HUD-mandated activities; and,

WHEREAS, in December 2013, the City of Madison received notice of its HUD CoC Homeless Assistance grant award in the amount of $38,283 (Grant/Project # WI0136L5I031200) for the planning project articulated in the City’s successful proposal ($36,380) and associated administrative costs related to the grant ($1,903); and,

WHEREAS, the City of Madison is the only member of the Madison/Dane County CoC eligible to receive the planning project grant; and,

WHEREAS, the City’s Community Development Division (CDD), through its CDBG unit, plans to engage the Corporation for Supportive Housing, Inc. (CSH) to provide the following activities in implementing the planni...
