Commending the City of Madison Human Resources Department on winning the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA-HR) Award for Agency Excellence for 2013.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, the IPMA-HR Agency Award for Excellence recognizes the overall quality, accomplishments, and contribution of an agency personnel program that exceeds the normal operation of a "good government personnel program"; and
WHEREAS, the City of Madison HR Department was recognized and honored to accept this award based upon several initiatives implemented over the past three years, including post Act 10 leadership and communication, performance management initiatives, organization structure and service delivery, and advancements in technology ; and
WHEREAS, City HR staff continue to work hard every day to meet and exceed organizational expectations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council do hereby commend the City of Madison Human Resources Department on winning the 2013 IPMA-HR Award for Agency Excellence and recognize the many contributions made by the City HR Staff to provide the highest quality HR services for the City of Madison.
