Body
Preamble

The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), through its Madison School Community Recreation department ("MSCR"), has contracted with the City of Madison for a number of years for the use of Bowman and Goodman Fields and Elver, Olbrich, and Warner Parks for the MMSD adult softball and baseball programs.  These contracts have also covered the vending and scheduling fees associated with other recreational programming activities sponsored by MSCR on City parkland.  MMSD wishes to continue this contractual relationship with the City whereby MMSD will be granted the non-exclusive right to the use of designated park facilities, pay an agreed upon field prep fee for the use of park facilities, collect a capital improvement fee from MSCR participants, and agree to certain conditions of use.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a one-year agreement with MMSD for MSCR's use of City parkland for the 2013 programming season, with three additional one-year renewals available for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 programming seasons, on a form and in a manner that has been approved by the City Attorney.
