Fiscal Note
This resolution amends the budget for project #21, Booster Station 106 Rebuild (810516), by $1,007,000. Budget authority of $1,493,000 is available in the Water Utility 2013 capital budget. Bids came in higher than expected and the total amount needed is $2,500,000. $800,000 of the additional funding will be transferred from the 2013 East Side Well projects #7, 8, and 9 (810459). The remaining $207,000 will be funded by Revenue Bonds.

Awarding Public Works Contract No. 7101, Booster Pumping Station 106 Reconstruction, to Staab Construction Corporation, in the amount of $2,317,000.00, and amending the Capital Budget by $1,007,000.00.

BE IT RESOLVED, that Staab Construction Corporation be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2013 Water Utility Capital Budget is hereby amended to reallocate $800,000 from the Unit Wells project (810459) and increase Revenue Bonds by $207,000 for the Booster Station 106 Rebuild project (810516);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
