Repealing Section 9.24(14) of the Madison General Ordinances to eliminate the sunset provision in licensing fees of secondhand dealers.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This proposal repeals the June 30, 2013 sunset in Section 9.24(14) relating to fees for secondhand licenses. Repealing the sunset provision will keep current fees in place.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
Subsection (14) entitled "Sunset - License Fee Increases" of Section 9.24 entitled "Licensing of Secondhand Dealers" of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby repealed.
EDITOR'S NOTE:
Section 9.24(14) currently reads:
"(14) Sunset - License Fee Increases. The license fee increases provided in Sec. 9.24(4)(b) effective on February 1, 2012, shall expire on June 30, 2013, and revert to their previous amounts unless said increases are extended by the Common Council prior to the expiration date."
