Commending and thanking Alderperson Brian Solomon for his dedicated service to the constituents in District 10 and to the City of Madison.
 
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Brian Solomon was elected to the Madison Common Council on April 3, 2007; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Solomon served on the Allied Area Task Force, Board of Estimates, Equal Opportunities Commission, Joint West Campus Area Committee, Community Services Committee, Housing Diversity Planning Ad Hoc Committee, Low Income Bus Pass Program Committee, Ad Hoc Committee to Develop Parking Strategic Plan, Regent Street-South Campus Plan Steering Committee, Transit and Parking Commission and Verona Road/West Beltline Highway Advisory Committee; and,
 
WHEREAS, during his tenure Alderperson Solomon guided neighborhood supported development projects along Monroe Street, assisted in the creation of the plastic bag recycling program; and
 
WHEREAS, he collaborated on many projects and initiatives with residents in the Allied Drive area, including strengthening the neighborhood association and helping facilitate the construction of Revival Ridge; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Solomon first and foremost stood up for equal opportunity and social justice issues; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Brian Solomon through his hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison,
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Brian Solomon for his dedicated service to his constituents in District 10 and the City of Madison.
