DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance changes the perimeter of the Broom Street Late Night Vending area. Currently the perimeter is described as simply the 400 block of North Broom Street. This amendment creates a map for the 400 block of North Broom Street. The map must be approved by the VOC and maintained on-file at the Office of Business Resources. A map showing the new perimeter will be presented to the VOC for approval when this ordinance amendment is referred to the VOC.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subparagraph c. entitled “400 block of North Broom Street and 100 and 300 blocks of West Johnson Street” of Paragraph 3. entitled “Late Night Vending Areas” of Subdivision (n) entitled “Late-Night Vending Areas in the Mall/Concourse” of Subsection (6) entitled “Regulations and Procedures for Vending on the State Street Mall/Capitol Concourse” of Section 9.13 entitled “License for Selling on Public Streets” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“c. 400 block of North Broom Street and 100 and 300 blocks of West Johnson Street. Late Night Vending may occur on the west side of the 400 block of North Broom Street beginning with the first legal parking space to the south of the northern-most driveway on the west side of the street, and anywhere that street vending may lawfully occur on the east side of the 400 block of North Broom Street, as shown on an official map approved by the VOC and on file at the Office of Business Resources. Occupancy of these two late night vending areas shall be on a first-come, first-served basis, except that any licensed Mall/Concourse vendor with an assign...
