File ID No. 27122 authorized the City to enter into an agreement with Stand Associates, Inc. for the purchase of professional design services for the design of relocation of sanitary sewer and water main facilities

The WisDOT brought to the City's attention the potential for compensability for the relocation of some of the City's facilities resulting from the WisDOT Verona Road Project.  The WisDOT requested a report be prepared to provide justification for the relocated facilities.  The WisDOT has indicated that the City will be eligible for up to $600,474.65 for the sewer and up to $364,024.44 for the water.  To pursue the eligible compensation, additional design services are required to prepare the report.  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Amendment #1 to the contract between the City of Madison and Strand Associates, Inc., for additional engineering design services for the design of sanitary sewer and water main for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Verona Road Project I.D. 1206-07-78.
