Fiscal Note
The referenced EPA grant of $400,000 has been awarded and secured by the City, but a companion budget amendment will be necessary to amend the City capital budget to create a project through which expenditures and grant proceeds may be administered. The amendment will be prepared and submitted for Council approval.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract with SCS BT Squared for the purpose of providing professional services to manage a $400,000 USEPA Brownfields Site Assessment Grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council authorized City staff to apply and accept if awarded a US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) grant to fund the inventory, environmental assessment, and remediation planning of brownfield properties throughout the City (File ID 24475, 11/15/2011), and;
WHEREAS, the City was awarded the $400,000 grant from the USEPA to conduct said environmental site assessments, and;
WHEREAS, the City has solicited competitive proposals from consulting firms to manage the environmental investigation of potentially contaminated properties with the awarded grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract with SCS BT Squared for the purpose of providing professional services to manage a $400,000 USEPA Brownfields Site Assessment Grant.
