Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for up to $96,850.00 in consultant services with Webb Management Services, Inc. to create a Performing Art Facilities Study.
Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Common Council adopted the 2012 budget, authorizing the City to apply up to $125,000 in operating funds to enlist the services of a consultant to develop a Performing Arts Facilities Study addressing issues such as governance, ownership, financing, and the allocation of City resources; and
 
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2012, the Common Council (File ID 26224, RES-12-00409) authorized the Department of Planning and Community and Economic Development to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a consultant to develop a Performing Arts Facilities Study and authorizing City staff to select the consultant to prepare said Study; and
 
WHEREAS the RFP was issued on June 13, 2012 and Seven (7) consultant teams responded; and
 
WHEREAS, the review committee selected and interviewed three (3) finalists; and
WHEREAS, the review committee gave Webb Management Services, Inc. the highest score based on the selection criteria which included proposer's qualifications, experience and project approach; and
WHEREAS the contract compensation for Performing Art Facilities Study consultant services for Webb Management Services, Inc. will not exceed $96,850.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract for up to $96,850.00 for the creation of a Performing Arts Facilities Study with Webb Management Services, Inc.
 
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to sign agreement(s) to effectuate, in writing, any amendments to the executed contract, as deemed necessary to be in the City's best interest, and within the funds appropriated for this project.
