Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City officials to enter into an agreement with the State of Wisconsin for modification of State-owned signal control cabinets at the Beltline-Fish Hatchery interchange and installing a City- owned signal control cabinet at the Ann/Emil/Fish Hatchery intersection.
Body
Whereas, the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WiDOT) is modifying the Beltline-Fish Hatchery Rd interchange and the Ann/Emil/Fish Hatchery intersection, including upgrading signal operation; and
 
Whereas, the City will furnish and install two traffic signal control cabinets, and refurbish a third signal control cabinet with WiDOT paying the full cost of materials and labor; and
 
Whereas, the agreement requires that the City indemnify WiDOT. City APM 1-1 requires Common Council approval whenever the City indemnifies another party, and the work under this contract carries low risk and benefits the general public.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and other City officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the State.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves indemnification of WiDOT under this agreement.
