Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Sustainable Engineering Group LLC to provide professional commissioning services for the Fire Station No. 13 in the amount of $62,770.
Body
WHEREAS the 2012 Capital Budget includes an amount of $360,000 for commissioning consultant services, a consultant must be hired to commission this project; and,
WHEREAS the total contract compensation for commissioning services for Sustainable Engineering Group LLC is $62,770; and,
WHEREAS the scope of this work includes commissioning, energy modeling, and measurement & verification services; and,
WHEREAS systems to be commissioned include the entire HVAC system, the building automation system, the entire plumbing system, the entire electrical systems, renewable energy systems, and building envelope and roofing system as it pertains to HVAC energy conservation; and,
WHEREAS energy modeling and simulation engineering services shall include deliverables during schematic design, design development, and construction document phases; and,
WHEREAS the measurement & verification services shall be provided after completion of construction for the first year of occupancy.
WHEREAS the commissioning services, energy modeling, and measurement & verification services shall meet the requirements of USGBC LEED-NC design and construction criteria; and,
WHEREAS the project is scheduled for design in 2012; and,
WHEREAS Sustainable Engineering Group LLC. located at 901 Deming Way, Suite 201, Madison, Wisconsin, has been selected through the “Request for Qualifications” process and “Final Interview” process, and is the final selected candidate in accordance with MGO Section 4.26 of Madison General Ordinances and in accordance with APM No. 3-3 of Administrative Procedure Memorandum; and,
