Fiscal Note
The 2012 Adopted Public Health Operating Budget contains funding of $120,000 for the Public Health Director salary. The Director will be an employee of Dane County, and actual salary and benefits costs will be shared on a 55.46% County / 44.54% City basis. Any savings from favorable budget versus actual salaries and benefits differences will become part of the Public Health Fund Balance. No additional appropriation is necessary.

Confirming the appointment of Janel M. Heinrich to the position of Director of Public Health Madison-Dane County subject to the execution of an Employment Services Agreement with Dane County.
Body
WHEREAS, Mayor Soglin and County Executive Parisi have appointed Janel M. Heinrich to the position of Director of Public Health Madison-Dane County (PHMDC) and have recommended to the Common Council that her appointment be confirmed; and
WHEREAS, Dane County and Ms. Heinrich have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Services Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Ms. Heinrich's appointment to the position of Director of Public Health Madison-Dane County is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City agree that the County Executive may execute the Employment Services Agreement with Ms. Heinrich to serve as Director of Public Health Madison-Dane County for a five (5) year period.
