Fiscal Note
An increase in General Fund revenues of $25,200 associated with the proposed fee changes has been included in the 2012 adopted operating budget, under "General Fund Revenues: Licenses and Permits - Miscellaneous Licenses."

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This proposal increases publication noticing fees for new alcohol licenses from $20 to $100 and for renewals from $20 to $40. The Clerk’s office is also permitted to bill a retail alcohol license applicant for noticing expenses in excess of $100. The fees for entertainment licenses are increased from $250 to $300.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subdivision (c) entitled “Publication of Alcohol Beverage Application” of Subsection (3) entitled “Application for Licenses” of Section 38.05 entitled “General Licensing Requirements” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
