Amending Secs. 33.03(1) and (6) of the Madison General Ordinances to revise the composition of the Board of Assessors and to update the amount of time to object to the determination from 10 days to 15 days.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance will update Subsections (1) and (6) to coincide with the language of Wis. Stat. § 70.075.
*********************************************************************************** The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subsection (1) of Section 33.03 entitled “Board of Assessors” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“(1) The Board of Assessors shall consist of the City Assessor, the Deputy City Assessor, the Assistant City Assessors and four staff appraisers appointed annually by the City Assessor and approved by the Common Council.”
2. Subsection (6) of Section 33.03 entitled “Board of Assessors” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“(6) The Board of Assessors shall remain in session until all corrections and changes have been made, including all those resulting from investigations by committees of objections to valuations filed with the City Assessor as provided in this sec...
