Fiscal Note
The overall cost to the City will be reduced by an estimated $4,000 per year from the current rates for standard placements and special events as a result of the competitive bid. Funding for this contract is included in the 2011 Adopted Parks Division Operating Budget.

To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a one year contract with four optional one-year renewal extensions on behalf of the City with Country Plumber, Inc. for portable toilet rental and servicing. (Various ADs)
Body
WHEREAS, the Parks Division currently utilizes approximately thirty portable toilets in a variety of Parks to provide restroom facilities to the public where no permanent structure is available; and;
WHERAS, the Parks Division utilizes portable toilets for special events managed by the Division, such as Ride the Drive and the Elver Fireworks; and;
WHEREAS, the current contract, expires on December 31, 2010; and;
WHEREAS, Purchasing Services, on behalf of the Parks Division solicited competitive proposals under RFP #8129-0-2010/SK, Portable Toilet Rental and Servicing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City for portable toilet rental and servicing as negotiated by Purchasing Services, for an initial term of one year with up to four one year renewal options.
