Fiscal Note
The change to require a permit and annual fee from non-metallic mine operations would result in a anticipated annual revenue increase of approximately $1,064. Other than the non-metallic mining issues, there are no changes to Chapter 37 that are expected to have a direct fiscal impact upon the City. Many of the regulatory changes will, however, result in increased compliance costs for private sector entities associated with development. Those changes are required by the State and County, and this ordinance revision will bring the City into compliance with those new requirements. No appropriation is required.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
All of Exhibit G repealing and recreating Chapter 37 is hereby adopted in its entirety and confirmed in all respects.
Said Exhibit G is published in pamphlet form by direction of the Common Council of the City of Madison, in accordance with Wis. Stat. § 66.0103.
