Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute an Amendment to the contract between the City of Madison and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for additional design engineering services for University Ave: Segoe Road to Shorewood Boulevard (11th AD)

PREAMBLE:
The City of Madison, Dane County, City of Middleton and Village of Shorewood Hills have proposed a joint project to reconstruct University Avenue from Allen Boulevard to Segoe Road. The City of Madison is the lead agency for this project. The existing pavement is in poor condition and in need of reconstruction. The construction cost of the improvement will be financed with 50 percent Federal/State funds and 50 percent local funds. The design cost will be funded with 100% local funds. The City Engineer has entered into a design engineering contract with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC.
The City Engineer recommends that additional design services be undertaken Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC. They are:
1. Additional design alternative analysis at the intersection of Shorewood Boulevard
2. Additional survey for sanitary and storm design
3. Additional survey for right-of-way and records search at the intersection of Shorewood Boulevard.
4. Additional utility and project coordination meetings
5. Additional storm sewer design from Segoe Road to Midvale Boulevard
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to the contract between the City of Madison and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for additional design engineering services for University Ave: Segoe Road to Shorewood Boulevard.
