Title

Authorizing a declaration of change in use from City park land to public street right-of-way as part of the North Sherman Avenue Resurfacing Assessment District-2009.  (12th AD)

Body

WHEREAS, the North Sherman Avenue Resurfacing Assessment District-2009 project  is scheduled to commence in August of 2010, from Trailsway to Northport Drive as Engineering Project No. 53W0650; and

WHEREAS, the proposed project design includes approximately 0.55 acres along the eastern edge of Warner Park; and

WHEREAS, the above-cited lands are a part of the City of Madison Warner Park; and

WHEREAS, the City of Madison Engineering Division requests and recommends dedication of that portion of Warner Park  necessary to complete the North Sherman Avenue Resurfacing Assessment District-2009,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Madison hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Declaration of Change of Use from lands under Park Division control to lands under Engineering Division control that are needed for the reconstruction of the City of Madison public sidewalk on North Sherman Avenue. The size of the lands, in total, is not anticipated to exceed 0.55 acres.
