Additional annual operating costs of approximately $430 would be accommodated within the Streets Division Operating Budget. No additional appropriation is necessary.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Agreement between the City of Madison and Dane County regarding snow removal service on part of Buckeye Road.
Body
WHEREAS, both the City of Madison and Dane County have jurisdiction for purposes of snow removal service over the portion of Buckeye Road (County AB) that is in the City of Madison; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Wis. Stat. Sec. 66.0301, the City of Madison and Dane County wish to formalize arrangements for the division of responsibilities for snow removal service; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement for snow removal service on portions of Buckeye Road on the following terms and conditions:
1. Snow removal service shall include the traffic, bicycle, and parking lanes.
2. The Agreement shall apply to the portion of Buckeye Road between Interstate 39/90 and US Hwy 51.
3. Dane County shall perform snow removal service to a width equal to what it maintains on the portion of Buckeye Road outside the City.
4. For the remainder of the width of Buckeye Road, Dane County and the City of Madison shall provide snow removal service in alternating years, beginning with Dane County for the 2009-2010 snow removal season (Autumn to Spring), followed by the City of Madison for the 2010-11 snow removal season (Autumn to Spring).
5. This Agreement shall continue in subsequent years until mutually terminated by the City of Madison and Dane County, until one party retains sole jurisdiction for snow removal service on Buckeye Road, or until enactment of law inconsistent with this Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any and all documents to complete this Agreement.
