The license increases are anticipated to yield an increase in General Fund revenues of $7,050 annually. The revenue will be included in the 2010 adopted operating budget.

Amending Secs 9.13(6)(h)3.a.i. and iii., Sec. 9.13(6)(h)3.b.i., Secs.9.13(6)(h)3.c.i. and ii. to increase the street vending license fees for mall/concourse food vendors, merchant vendors, and license and other fees for arts and crafts vendors; and amending Sec. 31.075(2)(a) of the Madison General Ordinances to increase the permit fee for promotional banners.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance amendment increases the annual Mall/Concourse food vendor license fee from $800 to $850, the annual Mall/Concourse Merchant Vendor fee from $150 to $200, the monthly Mall/Concourse Arts and Crafts vendor license fee from $100 to $125, and the site reservation fee for all Arts and Crafts vendors from $50 to $100. This ordinance also increases the permit fee for the display of a “promotional banner” from $50 to $75.
