The 2009 cost of support for the Trapeze software maintenance agreement is $102,291.75.  Funding is included in the 2009 Adopted Metro Transit Operating Budget.  Subsequent annual costs will be included in future operating budgets.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into a contract with Trapeze Software Group, Inc., to provide software maintenance and support, and authorizing the Designee of the Comptroller to enter into future contracts through 2011.
Body
WHEREAS, Trapeze Software Group, Inc. (Trapeze) is the developer and provider of the Trapeze FX, Trapeze PASS, Trapeze INFO-Agent/WEB, Trapeze MAPMAKER, Trapeze PASS-MON and Trapeze FX-MON software modules; and
 
WHEREAS, these software programs are used by Metro Transit for paratransit scheduling, fixed route scheduling, the online trip planner and a variety of other Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) functions; and
 
WHEREAS, as Trapeze is the developer and provider of this software, it is necessary to engage in a sole source agreement with Trapeze to maintain and support their own software;
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a contract with Trapeze Software Group, Inc. to provide software maintenance and support for the period 1/1/2009 through 12/31/2009 at an amount not to exceed $103,000, with an option to extend the contract for two additional years with the cost for the additional year(s) to be mutually agreed to between Metro Transit and Trapeze based on Metro Transit licensing fees factored with Metro Transit product usage; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Designee of the Comptroller can execute the contract extension(s) with Trapeze through 2011 as long as the funds are clearly identified and available in the Metro Transit budget.
