DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: Effective April 1, 2008, this ordinance increases the membership of the Contracted Services Oversight Committee to nine by adding two members who are representatives from governmental entities that are additional Metro Transit funding partners (MMSD and MATC).

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

Paragraph 3. entitled “Contracted Service Oversight Subcommittee” of Subdivision (k) entitled “Subcommittees of the Transit and Parking Commission” of Subsection (4) entitled “Transit and Parking Commission” of Section 3.14 entitled “Department of Transportation” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:

“3. Contracted Service Oversight Subcommittee. The Contracted Service Oversight Subcommittee shall consist of seven (7) (9) nine members. Five (5) members shall be representatives of governmental entities which contract with the City of Madison to provide transit and/or paratransit service: one (1) member representing the City of Middleton; one (1) member representing the Town of Madison; one (1) member representing the City of Fitchburg, one (1) member representing the City of Verona, one (1) member representing the University of Wisconsin; two (2) members shall be representatives of governmental entities which are additional Metro Transit funding partners: one member representing the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), one (1) member representing Madison Area Technical College (MATC); and two (2) members shall be members of the Transit and Parking Commission. In addition, the governmental entities shall each be allotted one alternate. Alternates shall be permitted to participate in meetings regardless of the presence or absence of the primary...
